We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.
When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.
This inventory will be used to staff Administrative Assistant positions at the AS-02 group and level within Natural Resources Canada with employment tenures, language requirements, security requirements, conditions of employment and work locations that will vary depending on the needs of the position being staffed. The pool of qualified candidates will also be shared within the Public Service.
Job offers resulting from this inventory will be either Permanent (Indeterminate), specified period (term or acting) appointments, part-time worker or casual employment. Candidates will be randomly selected* from the inventory for assessment purposes.
*Random selection is a strategy that is sometimes used to manage applicant volume. It identifies a sub-sample of applicants by applying the element of chance using criteria identified by the hiring organization. The Public Service Resourcing System - the electronic system used to advertise this job opportunity and receive and select applications - will perform the random selection function in this process.
