The immediate intent of this process is to staff 4 Indeterminate position(s) with various linguistic profiles. ESSENTIAL EDUCATION Streams 1, 2, and 3

Graduation with an acceptable doctoral degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field of the natural sciences related to the duties of the position with at least (2) two years postdoctoral training with specialization in at minimum one (1) of the following:
Analytical Biochemistry, Applied Mass Spectrometry, Gene therapy,
Gene Editing, Cancer Immunotherapies, Molecular Immunology, OR
Cellular Immunology.

Productivity or recognition is required for all positions in the Research Scientist sub-group (SE-RES) (Revised October 1, 1999).
Productivity or recognition includes developmental work leading to the issue of patents, copyrights, or the creation of improved varieties, functions, or designs, and/or recognition by the professional community of the research environment. It also refers to recognized achievement in the form of authorship and editorship of published or unpublished reports, books, papers, or other communications resulting from:
•Research, experimental development, or tasking associated with operational equipment and problems;
•Operational research and scientific analysis;
•Planning, analysis and evaluation of Canadian and foreign programs in research and development.

Essential EDUCATION Stream 4

STREAM 1
Experience in collecting, interpreting and publishing complex scientific data related to research in advanced cell and gene therapy products based on gene editing strategies.

STREAM 2
Experience in collecting, interpreting and publishing complex scientific data related to research in mass spectrometry applied to cellular immunology or cellular oncology.

STREAM 3
Experience in collecting, interpreting and publishing complex scientific data related to research in protein chemistry using high performance liquid chromatography and Capillary electrophoresis.

STREAM 4
Experience in collecting, interpreting and publishing complex scientific data related to research in structural biology using high resolution Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy.

KNOWLEDGE ALL STREAMS:
Knowledge of principles of project management.
Knowledge of principles of experimental design and statistical methods of data analysis.

EXPERT KNOWLEDGE STREAM 1
**Expert scientific knowledge related to current research in advanced cell and gene therapy such as gene editing technologies applied to cellular systems related to cancer, genetic diseases, and/or infectious diseases.
**Expert scientific knowledge of current gene editing research technologies in the area of gene and cellular therapy.


EXPERT KNOWLEDGE STREAM 2
**Expert scientific knowledge related to current research in cellular-immunology or cellular-oncology such as molecular mechanisms in immune responses (to biotherapeutics) and methods to monitor adverse side effects (to biotherapeutics).
**Expert scientific knowledge of current Mass Spectrometry research methods in the area of cellular immunology or oncology including extensive knowledge of quantitative mass spectrometry-based proteomics methods, techniques and tools for biomarker and proteomic analysis of immunological relevance

EXPERT KNOWLEDGE STREAM 3
**Expert knowledge related to current research in separation sciences of biomolecules, such as protein chemistry and analytical chemistry
**Expert knowledge of current research methods in the area of separation sciences of biomolecules including extensive knowledge of high performance liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis

EXPERT KNOWLEDGE STREAM 4
**Expert knowledge related to current research in structural biology, such as protein
structure determination and dynamics.
**Expert knowledge of current research methods in the area of structural biology of biomolecules including extensive knowledge of high resolution nuclear magnetic resonance.

**Expert knowledge is defined as the level of knowledge gained through planning, completion and publication of scientific research in a doctoral or post-doctoral setting.
