Duties

As the successful candidate you will be expected to:
• Provide leadership in the development of program strategies and operational plans to address effective delivery of Labour’s compliance programs;
• Mobilize resources to deliver a wide range of enforcement and educational interventions and strategies to ensure compliance and promote awareness of employer’s legislated obligations;
• Participate as a member or as a leader, on internal and external committee or forum in representing the organization or specific program policy or delivery, technical issues and regulatory review, and establish contacts and networks for information sharing and for consultation purposes;
• Monitor program delivery activities and performances to ensure uniform and consistent application of Labour’s legislated programs to support the director in assessing unit performance and in setting regional and national policies;
• Plan and establish the unit’s goals and work plans, coordinate, schedule, assign and monitor work of staff; provide feedback on work, prepare performance evaluations, and approve training plans in conjunction with the Director;
• Collaborate with the Leadership Team to drive regional strategic planning, performance improvement, business intelligence, process improvement and project management in order to foster an environment of performance excellence and integrated delivery, and create a sense of common purpose;
• Communicate with clarity and conviction;
• Lead and motivate staff by creating a supporting people environment that foster’s trust and challenge employees to promote and try out new ideas;
• Manage the administrative, financial and human resource requirements of a multi-disciplinary and technical operation

EDUCATION
