Assessment accommodation

If you apply to the Boucherville Processing Centre process and you are successfully selected at the preselection phase, you will be assessed only once. We will use the same assessment tools since these are common qualifications.

If you meet the preselection criteria and the selection area required for this process, some of the competencies demonstrated in this process could be recognized for other processes, current or future, for Payment Services Officer (PM-01) positions at Service Canada in the Quebec region.

Duties

As a Payment Services Officer, your main task would be to help process the Employment Insurance applications effectively. Here is a list of some of the tasks that you would have to do:

• Rendering decisions with respect to eligibility and entitlement to benefits by applying applicable acts and regulations.
• Gathering information from clients and employers in order to process applications in accordance with procedures and guidelines.
• Providing general information about the EI program: explaining the laws, decisions, procedures and processes.
• Participating, during team meetings, in exchanges of constructive ideas for the purpose of continuous improvement.

Intent of the process

To fill 12 positions in the fall of 2020 at the Laval Processing Center. The evaluation of the candidates will take place during the summer. In order to minimize the current risks associated with COVID-19, our tests and interviews will possibly take place at distance. The situation will be reviewed according to the evolution of this pandemic. This selection process may be used to staff similar positions at Service Canada, Quebec region, notably at the Service Canada Call Center in Longueuil, which has positions with a BBC linguistic profile.
