The Personnel Psychology Centre (PPC) is a Centre of expertise in personnel assessment. Employees of PPC assist hiring managers and human resources professionals in assessing applicants for federal public service jobs and in identifying and supporting employee development needs through innovative assessment products and services.

Below is a summary of duties for the positions in each division:
E-Testing and Test Administration:
Your work will focus on customer service to enable certified test administrators from various federal departments to conduct online testing in accordance with standards established by the Personnel Psychology Centre. You will provide support over the telephone and via email to users, as well as liaise with the Information Technology team to resolve issues with the systems. You will be responsible for approving the creation of new accounts, validating the certification of test administrators, and collecting information about administrative incidents. You may also be required to provide information sessions to educate our clients on the importance of test administration procedures.
Assessment and Counselling Services:
The position consists of providing a whole range of operational and administrative services for management, staff and clients such as :
• Providing information and guidance regarding services, registration processes, financial options, eligibility requirements, etc.
• Planning and organizing logistics for service delivery
• Coordinating the administrative activities for projects and programs
• Registering client, managing files and maintaining tracking systems and client database
• Maintaining a record of transactions for the purpose of auditing files, billing clients, account collection and updating financial database.
• Providing support for assessments, such as greeting and reading instructions to candidates and liaising with assessment specialists as needed.
•Creating and sending out accurate and timely invoicing statements.

The intent of the process is to establish a pool for future vacancies (indeterminate, term, assignment, acting or casual) to staff similar positions at the AS-01 or CR-05 level within the PSC in the National Capital Region with a linguistic profile of bilingual imperative CBC/CBC or BBB/BBB.

Significant* experience providing client services including providing information to clients on products and/or services.
* Significant experience is defined as experience acquired over a period of approximately one (1) year.
** Administrative services is defined as, but not limited to the following activities: managing agendas, planning and organizing meetings/teleconferences/events, establishing and maintaining filing systems, entering data, procuring office supplies, coordinating training activities, providing information sessions, administering assessment tools, providing financial services, and other related duties.

A post-secondary diploma or a certificate from a recognized institution in one of the following fields of study: Business administration, office administration, office management, secretarial studies or other fields related to the position.
A professional studies diploma from a recognized institution in one of the following fields of study: office administration, office management, secretarial studies or in other fields related to the position.
Experience performing financial activities (such as verifying financial data, monitoring expenditures or validating or paying invoices).
Experience responding to system user requests and participating in the identification and resolution of issues.
Experience using the Excel software.
Experience giving presentations or information sessions.
Experience in administering or coordinating assessments (e.g., tests, simulations, interviews).
Experience in coordinating invitations or scheduling appointments.
Operational requirements applies to certain positions only:
Ability to work overtime on occasion.
Ability and willingness to work regular schedule of 7.5 hrs per day between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
Reliability Status security clearance
Applicants must complete the Unsupervised Internet Test of Cognitive Ability - Level 1 as part of the screening for this selection process. This test assesses general problem solving and reasoning ability. You will have 60 minutes to complete the test. You must complete the test before you submit your application for this position.

Second language evaluation (SLE), Test of written expression
Candidates who do not already have a valid result at level B or higher on the Public Service Commission's Second Language Evaluation - Test of Written Expression may be invited to take the new Public Service Commission unsupervised test of written expression for level B.

When completing the form please ask that all your SLE results be sent to Nicoleta Traistaru at . Note that it is important that you submit your application before the closing date even if you do not have the details of your test results.
