The selected candidates will work in the Chief Information Officer Directorate as the Manager, Information Management. The main duties include, but are not limited to:
• Manages the delivery of services and employees for the Information Management unit.
• Liaises with internal clients to ensure complete and comprehensive information services.
• Leads projects to gain efficiencies in service delivery.
• Plays a key role in implementing e-records projects nationally
• Directs and coordinates IM projects.
• Fosters and maintains relationships with external stakeholders and central agencies.
• Provides functional direction to all ACOA staff and managers on all the service lines related to IM.

Intent of the process

We plan to hire one permanent full-time Manager of Information Management through this process. We may create a pool of candidates to staff similar positions with various durations* in the future. This pool may also be share with other Government of Canada partners.

* Permanent, temporary, acting, deployment, assignment and/or secondment.

You have successfully completed an acceptable post-secondary educational program relevant to the duties of the position OR have an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the position.

Degree equivalency

You bring the following experience (we will consider experience gained at work and at school):

- providing advice and guidance to management;
- performing activities associated with the interpretation of central agency OR Corporate policies;
- liaising with various stakeholders; and
- leading projects and/or initiatives.

Did you graduate with a bachelor or master degree from a recognized postsecondary institution relevant to the duties of the position?

Do you have experience supervising a team?

Do you have experience in financial management?

Do you have experience performing IM or records management related duties as a primary job function?

Do you have experience leading and facilitating working sessions with business and technical stakeholders to understand business requirements and to inform technical requirements?

Do you have experience working with OpenText Content Server / Gcdocs?

Do you bring knowledge IM framework, theories, principles, procedures techniques and/or practices in the Public Service?

Do you bring knowledge of processes or systems related to information management or records management?

Do you bring knowledge of Records Disposition Authorities for information organization and disposition?

Conditions of employment

You will have to meet the condition of employment which is a Secret security clearance. However, this pool of candidates will also be created for various security level (reliability and secret). Our team will help you with that at a later date.
