Health Canada's Specialized Health Services Directorate within Corporate Services Branch delivers programs and services to support the health and well-being of federal public servants. As the principal occupational health and safety advisor to the Treasury Board Secretariat, the Specialized Health Services Directorate provides a wide range of occupational health and communicable disease services through the Public Service Occupational Health Program Public Service Resourcing System (PSRS), and also offers confidential employee counselling and specialized organizational services through Employee Assistance Services (EAS). This process will be used to staff one (1) indeterminate position with English Essential linguistic profile. A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be created and may be used to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various languages proficiencies (English Essential, Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB), with various security profiles, various tenures and various locations, for positions within Health Canada.

• Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives.
Experience
• Experience working in an area related to health services.
• Experience maintaining a records management system.
• Experience working with and handling sensitive information.
• Experience in client service delivery.
Asset Experience
• *Recent experience working as an administrative assistant in a health professions environment (e.g., medical/dental clinic, hospital, pharmacy, physiotherapy/chiropractic clinic, disability management organization, etc.).
* Recent experience is defined as experience normally acquired within the last five (5) years.

11.Candidates must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position.
