The Office of the Information Commissioner is resolutely committed to providing the most modern and secure tools to its employees so that they can perform their duties in an optimal manner. To do this, the information technology group obtained the approval of senior management to complete the gradual migration of several of the Office's business applications to SaaS (software as a service) cloud services over the next three years. As the Application Development Team Leader, you will be heavily involved in the development and configuration of applications on Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint and Teams platforms in a Protected B environment. This project will provide you with much sought-after experience in the field of cloud computing services.
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions with various tenures.

EDUCATION
•Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Whenever the minimum education is met via this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be reassessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.

Experiences:
E1: Recent* and significant** experience configuring and implementing SharePoint, on-premises or in the cloud.
E2: Experience developing applications to guide the technical team throughout the software development lifecycle.
E3: Recent* and significant** experience analyzing and documenting client requirements, and recommending solutions.
E4: Recent* and significant** experience implementing IM/IT solutions to meet the needs of clients and management.
E5: Experience providing advice and recommendations to management on IT issues.
* Recent experience refers to experience acquired within the last five (5) years.
** Significant experience refers to the depth and breadth of experience acquired by performing a broad range of complex activities for about two (2) years over the last five (5) years.
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
AEXP1: Experience supervising and/or assigning work and/or coordinating the work of IT staff, students, consultants and/or project team members.
AEXP2: Experience delivering IT services using the best practices from the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
AEXP3: Experience designing and developing Microsoft Dynamics-based applications.
AEXP4:Experience with Microsoft 365.
AEXP5:Experience migrating to cloud computing services.
AEXP6:Experience with the Agile and SCRUM methods.
AEXP7:Experience managing the components of an information technology (IT) infrastructure.
AEXP8:Experience troubleshooting problems with user computers and software.
