The Department of National Defence (DND) is one of the largest federal government employers. DNDs role is to provide services and support to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in their operations and missions at home and abroad. Secondary school diploma
Experience performing cashier duties or operating a point of sale terminal
Experience of various types of industrial cleaning equipment and the techniques to operate, clean and maintain them
Experience in providing food services in an institutional, commercial or industrial food environment
Knowledge of WHMIS and safety procedures while handling chemicals and equipment

Depending on the position being staffed, any of the conditions of the employment below may be deemed as required for the position:
Must be available to work irregular hours (on call), shift work, weekends and consent to work additional (overtime) hours on occasion.
Must wear approved personal protective equipment as required
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 kgs in accordance with general safety practices
Must be able to climb ladders to perform various duties at heights of up to 8 feet
