Education
Ed1- A secondary school diploma.
Experience
Ex1- Significant* and recent** experience in implementation and coordination of Occupational Health and Safety.
Ex2- Experience in interpreting and advising on safety legislation, regulations, policy or programs (i.e. Canada Labour Code Part II, Canadian Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Treasury Board Policies, etc.)
Ex3- Experience writing correspondence related to Health and Safety, such as briefing notes, policy documents or reports.
Ex4- Experience providing Health & Safety subject matter advice to management or clients.
Ex5- Experience in analyzing issues and formulating recommendations for use by management or clients.
*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of those duties for a period of approximately three (3) continuous years.
**Recent is defined as experience normally acquired within the last five (5) years

Education
AEd1- Completion of training or certification in Occupational Hygiene.
AEd2- Graduation with a diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Certification
AOc1- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) Designation.
Experience
AEx1- Experience delivering training.
AEx2- Experience developing and communicating policies, directives or procedures.
AEx3- Experience with safety or environmental management systems such as; ISO 14001, CSA Z1000-06 or ISO 45001.
AEx4- Experience conducting Health and Safety inspections or audits.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
-Willing and able to work overtime occasionally.
-Possession of a valid unrestricted Class 5 Provincial driver’s license or equivalent.
-Willing and able to stand for extended periods, climb stairs, access roofs, and traverse over rough or uneven terrain.
-Willing and able to work around various chemical products and Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants (POL).
Reliability Status security clearance
-Willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
