$51,538 to $57,643 (PLUS BONUS!! In addition to the annual salary, compensation advisors are also entitled to a retention allowance of $2,500 per year. Note: salary range is currently under review.)

Intent of the process

The intent of this selection process is to hire more than 20 bilingual Compensation Advisor Trainees (AS-01 positions) at Transport Canada in the National Capital Region. These appointments will be made as soon as possible and will be for indeterminate (permanent) tenures.

At Transport Canada, we invest in our employees by offering a developmental program to Compensation Advisor Trainees. Trainees who are hired for indeterminate (permanent) positions will be integrated into a formal development program which is designed to train employees and promote them (without competition) to the AS-02 group and level.

A pool of qualified candidates may be created and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (temporary or permanent positions) in the National Capital Region at Transport Canada.
