The Personnel Psychology Centre (PPC) is a Centre of expertise in personnel assessment. Employees of PPC assist hiring managers and human resources professionals in assessing applicants for federal public service jobs and in identifying and supporting employee development needs through innovative assessment products and services.

As one of the executive assistants within a directorate providing administrative services to an executive and managers, your main responsibilities will be the following:
- Manage correspondence and requests for information for a Director’s office
- Maintain the Director’s daily agenda
- Act as secretariat for different committees and meetings including preparing records of decision
- Provide administrative support to unit managers
- Organize and coordinate various activities and contribute administrative expertise to adhoc projects such as piloting new assessment products
- Provide administrative services and human resources assistance for staffing activities.

The PPC is staffing an indeterminate position of Administrative Assistant with a linguistic profile of bilingual imperative CCC/CCC. The intent is also to establish a pool for future vacancies (indeterminate, term or casual) to staff similar positions at the AS-01 or CR-05 level within the PSC in the National Capital Region with a linguistic profile of bilingual imperative CCC/CCC or CBC/CBC.

Your résumé.
A college diploma or a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in one of the following fields of study: Business administration, Office administration, Office Management, Secretarial studies or in other fields related to the position.
Significant* experience providing a variety of administrative support services** to a manager, executive or a team of professionals.
* Significant experience is defined as experience acquired over a period of approximately one (1) year.
** Administrative support services is defined as, but not limited to: managing agendas, planning and organizing meetings/teleconferences, preparing and collating meeting file folders and background materials, procuring office supplies, maintaining a filing system, making travel arrangements, minutes taking, and other related duties.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Experience drafting AND editing correspondence such as letters, meeting minutes, presentations.
Experience managing financial operations and transactions (such as verifying financial data, monitoring expenditures or validating and paying invoices).
Experience responding to system user requests and participating in the identification and resolution of issues.
Experience making travel arrangements and in processing travel expense claims.
Experience performing data entry.
Experience doing research, analyzing information, and providing answers to internal or external stakeholders.
Experience administering assessments (e.g., tests, simulations, interviews).
Experience with the delivery of products and services in a cost-recovery* setting.
*Definition of cost recovery setting: recovering multiple and considerable costs from several clients for products and services that are offered for a fee based on a cost structure (cost per unit, time reporting).
