Duties

The Support Clerk provides support to the day-to-day operations of the Regional Operational Center for Old Age Security (ROC-OAS). ROC-OAS processes Old Age Security applications for the Quebec Region.

The Records Management area, where all support clerks work, is responsible for managing thousands of paper forms and documents weekly. Several teams are in place to handle shipping, receiving, archiving and to perform computer data entry. A support clerk may be required to work in multiple teams. They may work either seated in front of a computer or in various positions in work areas (standing, sitting, squatting or sitting on a small bench).

Work environment

In the heart of Old Québec, 330 de la Gare du Palais street is near restaurants, cycle paths, parks and trails that meander along the St. Lawrence River and the St. Charles River. The location is easily accessible and serviced by several main bus routes and the ferry, which makes it easy to get to from the greater Québec City region and the Lévis region.

You will have to be able to get to your workplace every day at 330 De la Gare du Palais in Québec City.

Intent of the process

The purpose of this process is to staff terms positions on April 2020. A pool of qualified candidates will be established and could also be used to staff similar positions of various tenures within Service Canada, in Quebec City.
