Duties

This incumbent provides sales and marketing activities including analysis and methodology for the promotion, sales, delivery and installation of CORCAN products and services for the assigned region and territory. The timely and effective management of client expectations in the assigned region or territory through the delivery of highest quality customer service. The incumbent of the position will provide supervision of staff and collaborates with installation and production areas.

Work environment

The incumbent works in a CSC office, headquarters or community based correctional environment where offenders may be present on a daily basis. The incumbent is exposed to multiple, concurrent demands, the requirement to attend frequent meetings, negotiate acceptance of strategic plans, and exposed to complaints from clients, the general public, conflicting priorities, short deadlines and multiple demands. The work is conducted in an open office environment with its constant interruptions and distractions. Regular travel may be required to meet with clients and other stakeholders to conduct sales drive or presentations.

EDUCATION

A secondary school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Experience in sales or marketing of products that cover a wide range of product types requiring coordination between clients, designers and suppliers/manufacturers.

Experience soliciting clients and working with multi-faceted stakeholders to provide quality client service.

Experience in developing, implementing and coordinating a sales or marketing project, which included three or more products or services incorporated to meet a client’s specific needs.

EDUCATION

Successful completion of at least two years of post-secondary education resulting in a degree or diploma with an acceptable specialization in one of the following areas marketing, sales or business administration.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Experience coordinating sales, warehouse operations, and installation projects.
Experience selling furniture and office accessories, including systems furniture.
Experience in construction.
Experience in manufacturing metal products.
Experience in manufacturing wood products.
Experience in textiles products.
Experience in technical drawing, design or engineering of products.
