1. Planning, organizing and implementing the development of specific policies, projects and work-plan activities and managing related budget resources.
2. Researching, analyzing and advising on existing and proposed corporate and external policies, examining options and their implications, recommending the most appropriate course of action, developing draft corporate policies and directives consistent with legislative regimes, delegated authorities and evolving business practices.
3. Leading, facilitating or participating in committees, project teams, policy issue forums to review, analyze and make recommendations based on business analyses, specific policy components or issues, timing and resource constraints and the integration and implementation of corporate and work planning requirements. Support planning related activities including documenting and analyzing required information and data and drafting an Annual IOGC Management Plan.
4. Researching and coordinating the collection and analyses of relevant information and materials from project managers and operations staff to review deliverables and prepare quarterly reports of IOGC-wide progress against IOGC’s Management Plan, including the quarterly CEO reports to the Board and preparation of other issue-related materials.
IOGC is located away from Calgary's downtown core at the west end of Anderson Road on Tsuu T'ina First Nation lands.
This is a full-time two year term position. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar term and/or indeterminate positions.

EDUCATION:
1. Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with specialization in a field relevant to the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
EXPERIENCE
1. *Experience in drafting reports, assessing performance, policy development, business analyses, project management or business planning.
* Normally acquired through a minimum of 7 years related experience which includes some progressive experience in one or more of the listed areas.
2. Experience in facilitating teams and group work.

INFORMATION ABOUT INDIAN OIL & GAS CANADA:
IOGC is an organization committed to managing and regulating oil and gas resources on First Nation reserve lands. It is a special operating agency within Indigenous Services Canada. IOGC is responsible for the administration of oil and gas resources on First Nation reserve lands across Canada, primarily south of the 60th parallel. Most of IOGC's work is in Western Canada in the area of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin.
