FAILURE TO CLEARLY DEMONSTRATE IN THE SCREENING QUESTIONS HOW YOU MEET THE SCREENING CRITERIA (Education and Experience, essential) WILL RESULT IN THE REJECTION OF YOUR APPLICATION.

This is an anticipatory process.
A qualified pool of candidates will be established and used to staff future indeterminate and/or temporary AS-03 Information Systems Administrator positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Edmonton, Alberta and Calgary, Alberta. In the event of a temporary vacancy, the following staffing actions may be used and /or considered: acting appointment, term appointment, assignment or secondment.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

• Experience in analyzing database issues or problems, and taking corrective actions.
• Experience in assuring data quality and integrity.
• Experience using data to generate reports.
• Completion of the PROS End User course.
• Experience using eMCM (electronic Major Case Management) systems, including Evidence & Reports III (E&R III).
• Experience using the Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access.
• Experience using police databases including Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) and Police Information Portal (PIP).

RCMP Security Clearance.
Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain an RCMP Security Clearance throughout their employment.
Positions filled will have security clearance requirements at the following levels: RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status, Secret, or Top Secret. This requires a security/reliability interview and a field investigation in matters of criminal activities, credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.
