Senior Business Analyst
This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that the team is functioning efficiently and is responding adequately to client needs; providing oversight in management of best practices in business analysis and/or project management. Providing advice and recommendations to the senior management on the efficient and effective use of technology solutions and business procedures.

The immediate need is to staff four (4) Senior Business Analyst / Project Leader positions in Gatineau.
A pool of candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar bilingual positions with various linguistic profiles (Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC or BBB/BBB) or various tenures (Indeterminate, Term, Deployment, Acting, Assignment/Secondment) within the designated workplaces of Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Recent* experience gathering, analyzing and documenting user requirements.
Recent* experience facilitating and mediating discussions as well as negotiating solutions.
Recent* experience supervising staff.
Experience developing and maintaining working relationships with stakeholders and clients.
Recent* experience developing status reports and project management artifacts such as, but not limited to business case, project charter, project schedule, project management plan or close-out report.
Experience providing advice and guidance to management (manager level and up), staff or professional services (such as contractors).
*Recent experience is defined as the experience acquired within the last five (5) years.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Project management certificate.
Business Analysis Certificate.
EXPERIENCE
Experience using PeopleSoft (Version 8.9 or higher).
Experience managing business projects with IT components.
Experience using IBM Cognos.
Experience using SQL.
Experience analyzing data within an information management system.
Experience developing and delivering presentations.
