EDUCATION:
Graduation with a diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution; OR
an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience. *
*Acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience means High School graduation (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years’ experience (or training) relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience interpreting prescriptive documentation (such as legislation, regulations, policy, procedures, directives, management plans, licence conditions, financial reports or other similar documents).
- Experience writing or preparing documents in a professional environment (such as reports, memos, proposals, briefing notes, meeting summaries, presentations or business correspondence.)
- Experience analyzing issues or information to prepare recommendations, responses, reports or advice to managers, clients or the general public.
EDUCATION:
- Undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience managing programs or staff in a decentralized organization
- Experience providing service to, or interacting with, the public or the fishing industry.
- Experience in leading the implementation of business processes, procedures or tools.
- Experience in budgeting, expenditure control, purchasing, contracting or inventory control.
- Experience using data processing software, spreadsheets, databases or information management systems.

Travel occasionally within Canada or internationally

Operate DFO fleet vehicles or rented vehicles.
