The intent of this process is to establish a pool of qualified candidates which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various tenures, language requirements, and/or security clearance levels in various Federal Government Departments or Agencies, in various locations.

Education:
ED1 - A degree from a recognized post secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*.
*The acceptable combination is defined as a college diploma in marketing, graphic design, web site design, public relations, advertising, communications, web/new media management, marketing research or journalism, with 12 months of work experience and /or training in a field relevant to the position.
Experience:
EX1 - Experience in contributing to and/or implementing communications and/or marketing plans.
EX2 - Experience in writing and revising communications and/or marketing products including web and social media content.
EX3 - Experience in social media planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and results/trends/metrics and analysis across multiple platforms, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube.
EX4 - Experience in providing communications advice and support services to management.
Competencies:
COMP1 - Ability to communicate effectively orally in English.
COMP2 - Ability to communicate effectively in writing in English
COMP3 - Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
COMP4 - Ability to research, analyze and write effective communications materials and products for internal and/or external audiences, including social media and web-based products.

Education:
AED1 - Graduation from a recognized post secondary institution with a B.A. in Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Advertising, graphic or web design, or other related fields.
Experience:
AEX1 - Experience in web development or coordinating web projects.
AEX2 - Experience as a member of the Canadian Forces
Assets:
Knowledge:
AK1 - Knowledge of trends and developments in communications and marketing methods and practices.
AK2 - Knowledge of Government of Canada web renewal initiative as well as website management best practices.
Organizational Needs:
The Office of the Veterans Ombudsman may need to increase Employment Equity representation through the recruitment of individuals who are a member of an employment equity group.
