A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates will be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at Natural Resources Canada with various tenures, various linguistic requirements, various language requirements and profiles, various security requirements, various conditions of employment, and for various locations.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).

1. The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Experience in providing administrative support services to managers or senior managers including making travel, conference and hospitality arrangements and claims, taking minutes, as well as planning and organizing logistics for meetings, conferences and/or teleconferences.
EX2: Experience in coordinating files and requests and liaising with subject matter experts to obtain information.
EX3: Experience in providing service to clients by telephone, in person or in writing.
EX4: *Recent and significant experience in using spreadsheet software, an electronic mail system and a word processing system.

*“Recent and significant experience” means depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of duties over a period of approximately 6 months within approximately the last 36 months.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
