Duties

We are looking for skilled individuals willing to participate in exciting work, happening with the Government of Canada Identity, Credentials and Access Management infrastructure. We are mandated to provide identity management services for all 43 partners under our umbrella. Identity is the New Security Perimeter and the next years to come will be creating very complex challenges as the GoC evolves with Cyber-Security Infrastructures and Public Cloud Service offerings.

Intent of the process

EDUCATION - BOTH STREAMS

Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed, OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met via this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.

Employees in the CS occupational group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education level prescribed above are deemed to meet the education requirement based on their education, training and experience

EXPERIENCE - STREAM 1 ONLY – Technical Advisor

E1. Experience working as an IT analyst or similar position in two or more of the following technologies:
a. PowerShell;
b. Windows Server;
c. Active Directory Components such as:
1) Authentication (Kerberos, LDAP Bind and NTLM);
2) Group Policy Objects (GPO);
3) Domain Controller Infrastructure;
4) Domain Name System (DNS);
d. Active Directory Federation Service (ADFS);
e. Azure Active Directory Connect (AAD Connect);
f. Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM)/Forefront Identity Manager (FIM);
g. SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language), OAuth 2.0 or OpenID or WS-Federation;
h. Privileged Access Management Infrastructure such as Sail Point and/or Cyber Ark.

EX2. Experience in conducting technical research and analysis in any area of IT identified in experience 1.

EX3. Experience providing written technical advice.

EX4. Experience developing, delivering and/or supporting IT solutions.
