Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization* in economics, sociology or statistics.
* Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
Significant* and recent** experience in intelligence analysis (in at least one of the following: crime, tactical, operational, strategic) including researching, collecting, evaluating and analyzing information to provide recommendations for decision makers.
Significant* and recent** experience in developing or applying analytical techniques or qualitative/quantitative methodology to advance a file or project (defined as tactical/investigative, operational or strategic intelligence).
Recent** experience in preparing and presenting briefing material for decision-makers to advance a file or project (defined as tactical/investigative, operational or strategic intelligence).
Significant* experience establishing and maintaining partnerships*** with at least two of the following: domestic or international law enforcement or intelligence agencies; government agency/departments; academic communities; private sector.
* “Significant” is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would normally have been gained performing the duties for a minimum of three (3) years.
** “Recent” is defined as experience gained within the last five (5) years.
*** Partnerships refer to outside of the applicant’s existing agency or department.
Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics or discipline related to the position, such as but not limited to finance, international relations, political sciences and computer sciences.
Experience with analytical tools, databases and/or mapping software (e.g. i2, iBase, Access, ArcGIS)
Experience developing plans that use effective tools and methodologies to research and collect open source information (OSINT)
Experience working in the financial services industry (e.g. banking sector, finance, or risk management)
Experience conducting threat or risk assessments
Experience working with domestic and international organizations

Be in possession of a valid driver’s licence.

Testing will be held in Regina, SK and Winnipeg, MB. The cost to attend the assessment will be the candidate’s responsibility. Candidates will be required to pay for their own travel (including travel for assessment purposes), and may be required to pay for their own relocation expenses.
You will be required to demonstrate how you meet the education and experience criteria (essential and asset) for the initial screening, in answering online screening questions. It is NOT sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Rather, you must clearly demonstrate HOW, WHEN and WHERE the qualification was met through substantiation by examples. Information on your described education and experience provided in the screening questions should be supported by your résumé. Failure to provide the above information in the format required may result in your application being rejected from the process.
Successful candidates will require a valid Top Secret RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain RCMP security clearance involves a security interview and a field investigation which includes reference checks, verification of credit, education, previous employment, alcohol and/or drug abuse. As such, the process may take several weeks to complete.

The successful candidate will be required to provide original documentation of proof of Canadian Citizenship prior to appointment. Other candidates may also be asked to provide this documentation at various stages in the selection process. The following documents will be accepted as proof: Provincial or territorial birth certificate; Naturalization certificates (issued prior to Jan. 1, 1947); Registration of Birth Abroad certificates (issued between Jan. 1, 1947 and Feb. 14, 1977); Certificates of Retention; Citizenship certificates.

Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
