• Offer an in-house program for teaching, development and follow-up on French or English as a second language and other course arrangements
• Analyze the specific requirements relating to learning and training follow-up
• Design, develop and supply products and services relating to second language learning, development and follow-up
• Assess the language proficiency and progress of learners
• Offer advice to learners based on periodic language tests
• Consult with and inform the learners and share information with them in order to create and populate their academic record
• Assess and validate the second language training programs, products and services and their results and submit any changes
• Develop and deliver presentations on the services offered under the in-house program
• Advise, guide and coach learners who receive continuous training from private-sector or government sources

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in education, linguistics or a field relating to teaching.
Note:
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
• Recent and significant experience (at least 2 years) acquired within the past 5 years in teaching English or French as a second language to adult learners
• Experience using a wide range of teaching methods and various relevant methodologies
• Experience in supervising learners’ progress and guiding them towards the achievement of their goals
EDUCATION:
• Graduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to the position
• Complementary studies in second language education for adults
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in developing and implementing a language training program in a government context
• Experience teaching English or French as a second language to adult learners working in the federal public service
• Experience teaching using technology (virtual or online teaching)
• Experience in one-on-one training
• Experience in developing teaching materials
