In order to submit a COMPLETE application, you must:

The briefing note will only be evaluated if you clearly demonstrate that you meet the essential qualifications.
When answering the pre-screening questions, you must provide concrete and detailed examples to clearly demonstrate when, where, and how you gained the experience needed to meet the qualifications. Simply saying you have the required qualifications or listing your current duties is not enough.
If you don’t clearly demonstrate you have the required experience and education, we won’t ask for additional information and you will be screened out.
As part of the application process, you will be required to complete a briefing note.

• As appropriate, the note should include sources/references
• Not should be maximum 1,200 words

A pool of qualified candidates will be created to staff similar positions within Privy Council Office with various language requirements (bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, English or French essential), various tenures and various security requirements. The pool of partially qualified candidates may also be open to other Government Departments.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
EXPERIENCE
EC-04 & EC-05
EX1 Experience in policy analysis or policy development
EX2 Experience in conducting research on social or economic issues to support the decision-making process
EX3 Experience in preparing briefing materials (such as information notes, presentations, reports, and other communication tools)
EC-05
EX4 Experience in collaborating with internal or external partners or stakeholders.
EX5 Significant* experience in policy analysis and development, and advice.
*Significant experience is defined as the breadth and depth of experience normally associated with full-time performance of duties for a period of at least 2 years.
