The intent of this process is to establish a pool of qualified candidates which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various tenures, language requirements, and/or security clearance levels in various Federal Government Departments or Agencies, in various locations.

Education:
Stream 1 and 2:
ED1 - Graduation from a recognized post-secondary educational institution with a degree, diploma or certificate in a field related to the position, including courses in user experience. The courses must be acceptable (defined as directly related to user experience design, research or testing) and taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree, diploma or certificate program in the required specialization.

Stream 3:
ED2 - Graduation with a bachelor’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience relevant to the position. *

* Acceptable combination of education, training and experience is defined as a secondary school diploma combined with depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of duties on a regular basis for a period of approximately three (3) years** experience listed below in the Experience Section for Stream 3
**A shorter duration may be considered based on demonstrated complexity and diversity of work handled, scope of work, and/or level of direct responsibility for a wide variety of complex files and/or projects.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
*Recent is defined as occurring with the past two years.
**Significant is defined by the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with approximately three years full-time.

Stream 1, 2 and 3:
EX1 - Experience managing multiple priorities in a high pressure environment with competing demands.
EX2 - Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
EX3 - Experience establishing effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
EX4 - Experience writing and presenting documents (e.g. plans, background papers, presentations and briefing materials) that offer recommendations to Management.

Stream 1 and 2:
EX5 - *Recent and **significant experience working with human-centered design principles, usability and user-experience methodologies and practices.
EX6 - *Recent experience analyzing, interpreting and providing evidence-based strategic advice on UX related policies and practices.

Stream 1:
EX7 - *Recent experience designing mock-ups and prototypes for the creation of new and existing web pages and application interfaces.

Stream 2:
EX8 - **Significant experience synthesizing information gathered from user research interviews, surveys and client meetings.

Stream 3:
EX9 - *Recent experience developing communication plans, web content and providing strategic direction on communications.
OR
EX10 - *Recent experience working with analytic or other forms of data to synthesize information.

Competencies (Streams 1, 2 and 3):

AEX3 - Recent experience designing and conducting research and data gathering projects to assess user characteristics.
AEX4 - Experience designing and creating dynamic and interactive digital presentation materials.
AEX5 - Experience in digital content development (e.g. web, social media and other online communications materials), including providing advice to clients or management on layout and functionality.
AEX6 - Recent experience using an Agile methodology and/or iterative methods to enable rapid delivery.
AEX7 - Experience developing plans and strategies for user experience improvement.
AEX8 - Experience working with Government of Canada web standards.
AEX9 - Experience in Analytics reporting and monitoring.
AEX10 - Experience evaluating or measuring the performance of public sector programs or services.
AEX11 - Experience in the development and delivery of training.
AEX12 - Experience conducting focus groups or consultation sessions.
AEX13 - Experience in developing operational documentation such as business requirements, project management documents, test cases, performance reports, business processes or procedures, training material, etc.
