We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.
Candidates must submit their application using the "Apply online" function. Only applications submitted via this portal will be considered, unless a valid reason is presented prior to the closing date and accepted by the hiring manager.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidates that apply for this position will have to answer to **PRE-SCREENING QUESTIONS** in order to clearly demonstrate that they meet the education and experience criteria (essential and asset qualifications).
Candidates must clearly demonstrate when answering the pre-screening questions how they meet the education and experience criteria listed as essential and applicable asset qualifications on the statement of merit criteria. To do so, candidates must write one or two paragraph(s) to demonstrate how they meet each criterion, supported by concrete examples. The assessment board cannot make any assumptions about your experience. Note that it is not sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Resumes may be used as a secondary source to validate the information described in the pre-screening questions. Failure to clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience, both essential and asset, where applicable, may result in the rejection of your application.
The written communication ill be assessed via the pre-screening questions.
Candidates will not be solicited for incomplete or possible missing information.
The intent of this process is to immediately staff two (2) indeterminate positions, possibly three (3) depending on the needs, within Library and Archives Canada.
