EDUCATION:

A secondary school diploma or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

EXPERIENCE:

AE1. Experience in providing administrative support services in an office environment.

AE2. Experience using word processing software such as Microsoft Word.

AE3. Experience using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel.

AE4. Experience providing financial support services.

AE5. Experience using SAP or Oracle Financials.

AE6. Experience in providing records management services such as indexing, cross referencing, filing, retrieving, retention, archiving or destroying data.

AE7. Experience in using an Information Management System (eg. RIMS, iCase, CCM Mercury, GCDocs).

AE8. Experience providing administrative services in a legal or police services environment.

AE9. Experience in providing administrative services in procurement.

AE10. Experience in using police computer applications such as: PROS; PRIME; CPIC; Versadex; etc.

AE11. Experience in transcribing from audio recordings and proofreading transcribed documents.

AE12. Experience verifying or editing/formatting various documents such as briefing notes, memos, presentation decks or speaking notes.

AE13. Experience working in a mailroom or shipping facility.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - Security and Reliability: Varies according to the requirements of the position to be staffed.
ie. Enchanced Reliability Status, Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance

Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain RCMP security clearance involves a security/reliability interview and a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity which includes reference checks, verification of credit/financial status, education, employment, etc . As such, the process may take several weeks or months to complete.

To be granted RCMP security clearance and to maintain the ethical standards of the RCMP, candidates must not be, or have been, involved in certain criminal activities*, have been dishonourably discharged, have pending personal bankruptcies, etc. For additional information and a complete list of activities, please visit http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/good-character and read the section titled “To apply as a police officer, you”, as well as the applicable considerations under “Evaluating your past actions”.
