Duties

Working in the Asset Performance branch of PSPC gives you an opportunity to work with a variety of people, both in and out of the office. You would work as part of a skilled team in liaising with landlords, property managers, contractors and client departments. After initiating work orders for contractors, our team conducts site visits to houses/buildings to assess conditions, completion of repairs, and confirm houses are ready for occupancy. There is also a unique opportunity for internal career progression, with positions at the AS-01, AS-03 and AS-05 level in Iqaluit.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Recent and significant* experience in the management of a diverse Real Property portfolio** such as crown-owned or leased or residential properties
- Experience in managing staff and/or teams.
- Experience in managing financial resources in a business oriented environment.

*Recent and significant experience is defined as having managed Real Property portfolio of varying degrees of complexity and type for a minimum of five years within the last 10 years including at least three years of Canadian experience

**Real Property portfolio is defined as crown-owned or leased or residential properties as part of a managed portfolio.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of project management delivery methods.
- Experience in managing third party contracts
- Experience using financial management information systems such as SIGMA, or SAP database systems, Oracle, etc.
- Experience in managing human resources consisting of the full range of human resource management responsibilities of managing direct reports, performance evaluations and recruitment.
- Experience in building partnerships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to achieve results.
- Knowledge of energy management and studies/assessment of facilities.
- Experience working in a northern environment and/or in a cross-cultural environment, specifically as it relates to Inuit Culture and Values.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Possession of a valid driver's license or access to alternate means of transportation.
