Duties: Payment and Compliance Officer
The Payments section works closely with the Enterprise Development and Community Development directorates to provide payment and compliance services for ACOA grant and contribution (G&C) clients across a range of community and development programs. As a Payment and Compliance Officer you will provide G&C payment review services and advice to Agency clients, Economic Development Officers, and Program Managers in accordance with policy and procedures.
Duties: Account Officer
As an Account Officer in either the Enterprise Development or Community Development directorate you will evaluate client needs, make recommendations for less complex projects, manage assigned projects, monitor contract performant, prepare amendments, and assist Economic Development Officers in the evaluation and administration of more complex projects.
There is a current need to staff 2 positions for a 12 months period (determinate period).
A pool of candidates will also be established through this process and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (indeterminate period, determinate period, assignment, acting, secondment), in St. John's, NL, if a position should become vacant.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a relevant area of study (e.g. Commerce, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics) or other specialty relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE:
1) Experience in gathering and analyzing information, preparing reports and providing recommendations to management.
2) Experience in reviewing financial information for accuracy, eligibility, and compliance.
EXPERIENCE (Asset):
1) Experience in providing information and/or services to business clients, not for profit organizations or community groups.
2) Experience in interpreting guidelines and policies.
3) Experience working with a financial management system.
