For all positions:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a natural, physical or applied science with specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
For all positions:
Experience in an aquatic resource management program.
For BI02 positions only:
Experience working in teams in the field or laboratory to deliver work as per scientific or technical protocols.
For BI03 positions only:
Experience supervising personnel.
Experience managing financial and material resources.
Experience providing technical advice to the management team and external stakeholders.
For all positions:
Post-graduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a natural, physical or applied science with specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
For all positions:
Experience in communicating technical information to various audiences including Indigenous peoples.
Experience using Geographic Information Systems and software to analyze this information and create products from it.
Experience in an integrated invasive species management program.
For BI02 positions only:
Experience providing advice towards planning a seasonal field program, with daily delivery and reporting observations supervisors and field teams
Experience using laboratory and field sampling equipment
For BI03 positions only:
Experience supervising interdisciplinary teams during the application of standard and technical operating procedures for applied research and monitoring.
Willing to obtain:
• Small Vessel Operator Proficiency Training or Equivalent
• Marine Emergency Duty Training – A1 or A3 Level
• Marine Radio Operators Certificate
• Valid Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Fish/Mollusc Exterminator Licence

Willing and able to travel in Canada and the USA, often for periods of up to 20 but possibly up to 27 consecutive days
Willing and able to travel to remote locations via truck, aircraft, boat, or other means with occasional overnight stays in tents
Willing and able to conduct strenuous work out-of-doors under varying climatic conditions, sometimes in remote and rugged locations
Willing and able to lift and carry, often over uneven ground, supplies and equipment weighing up to 23 kg
