Natural Resources Canada's Canada Centre for Mapping and Earth Observation (CCMEO) is currently looking for a talented and dynamic person to take on the position of Manager, Geomatics Project Leader within its dedicated teams within GeoBase division, in their offices located in Sherbrooke.
As a manager, project manager in geomatics, you will play a leading role in managing a dynamic and innovative team, simultaneously managing several projects in the areas of
acquisition, management or exploitation of data.
You will participate in the establishment of priority targets, proposals and business plans, project or program proposals as part of the division's strategic planning.
You will lead or provide leadership roles on national or international working committees that also include experts from private enterprise, provinces, and other federal and academic departments.

Education:
ED1: Graduation with a degree from a recognized institution with acceptable specialization in land survey theory or other related field such as geomatics, geodetic sciences or remote sensing, geology, geography or environmental sciences.
Experience:
EX1: Recent experience* in planning and managing the development and delivery of
geomatics solutions.
EX2: Recent experience* in the acquisition, processing, dissemination and analysis of data related to geomatics.
EX3: Recent experience in negotiating with multiple stakeholders to advance project
objectives.
EX4: Recent experience* in preparing project proposals.
*Recent experience refers to experience generally acquired during 1 year within the last 3 years. The experience can be accumulated.
Asset - Education:
AE1: Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in land survey theory and practice or other related field such as geomatics, geodetic sciences, remote sensing, geology, geography or environmental sciences.
Asset - Experience:
AEX1: Experience working with Aboriginal communities.
AEX2: Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders.
AEX3: Experience in managing major acquisition projects** of geospatial data.
AEX4: Experience in project management related to geomatics using large data concepts or artificial intelligence or RADAR data or Lidar data.
** Major acquisition projects means projects that cover at least 1000 km2.
