The Careers:
Integrity Services Officer (ISO) (PM-01)
Provides integrity services by informing clients of their rights, obligations and responsibilities specific to the type of benefits the client is receiving and informing clients of the Department’s service offerings and conducts non-complex investigations resulting in the prevention, detection and deterrence of fraud and abuse against programs administered by the Department.
Program Services Officer (PSO) (PM-01)
Performs functions to support activities throughout Service Canada, including decisions regarding eligibility and entitlement to benefits in accordance with prescribed procedures and guidelines.
Analyzes information, performs calculations and prepares estimates to determine corresponding eligibility and entitlement in accordance with prescribed procedures and guidelines.
Communicates with clients and their representatives, external organizations (e.g., accounting firms, Canada Revenue Agency, provincial authorities) and third parties in writing and verbally to obtain and provide client-specific information, to explain provisions of program-specific legislation and to inform of decisions and revisions.
Integrity Services Investigator (PM-02)
Conducts reactive and proactive investigations and risk based project reviews on individuals, groups and employers in order to detect fraud and misuse of various programs administered by the Department that may result in savings due to the imposition of a suspension of benefits, overpayments, penalties or fines.

The intent of this process is to create a pool of qualified candidates at the PM01 (Program Services Officer/Integrity Services Officer) level, and a second pool of qualified candidates at the PM02 (Integrity Services Investigator) level to staff positions within Employment and Social Development Canada in the W-T region. This pool could also be used to staff similar positions of various tenures within Employment and Social Development Canada in the W-T Region.
If the candidate selected for the position is an employee from the ‘Core Public Administration’, with an indeterminate status, the mechanism by which the candidate will be appointed will be an acting appointment. We therefore encourage everyone interested in this position to apply.
Initially a random selection among applications may be made. Randomly selected applicants will be assessed and those who meet all the essential qualifications will be placed in the qualified pool. Subsequent random selections from the remaining inventory and assessments may be conducted at a later date, and qualified candidates will be added to the same pool to fill future vacancies.
