Intent of the process

The immediate need is to fill indeterminate positions.

This process is being carried out to fill four Mediation-Conciliation Officer (PM-MCO-03) positions within the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (Labour Program).

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be created and could be used to fill similar positions with various tenure (acting, assignment, secondment, term appointment, deployment, indeterminate appointment) within ESDC.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in industrial relations, law or any other specialty relevant to the position, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
1. Experience in negotiating collective agreements as a negotiator or spokesperson in collective bargaining, or related experience in labour relations.
2. Experience in mediation or facilitation.
3. Experience in the delivery of training programs.
4. Experience in preparing reports or correspondence.
