The Pension Excellence Sector of the Receiver General and Pension Branch of Public Service and Procurement Canada is looking to staff various EC-03 and EC-04 positions.
This process could also be used to staff similar positions within the Public Service.
Employees of the federal public service may be considered for deployments, assignments, secondments or actings.

Common to all Streams - Education
------------------------------
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Candidates must have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Stream 1: Statistician (EC-03) - Essential Experience

1. Experience in analyzing and interpreting information from various statistical sources.
2. Experience in producing and validating statistical information using large datasets.

Stream 2: Statistical Coordinator (EC-04) - Essential Experience

1. Significant* experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis.
2. Experience in compiling, maintaining or managing various databases supporting organizational policies, plans or activities.
* Significant experience is defined as 2 years or more.

Stream 3: Policy Analyst (EC-04) - Essential Experience
-------------
1. Significant* experience in conducting research OR analysis and interpretation OR preparing documents on complex** policy issues.
2. Experience providing policy advice and recommendations, orally or in writing (i.e. briefing documents, scans, position papers, reports, speaking notes, presentations) to senior executives (Directors and above).
3. Experience engaging with stakeholders (i.e. other federal government departments, provincial or local governments, non-governmental, public or private sector organizations) on policy-related issues.
Significant* experience is defined as 2 years or more.
Complex** is defined as diverse, multi-dimensional, multi-stakeholder or inter-related policy issues.
