Information on employment equity

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidates must clearly demonstrate in the screening questions how they meet the education and experience factors listed as essential qualifications. The screening board cannot make assumptions about your experience. It is not enough to simply state that you have the required qualifications, or list your current responsibilities. An effective approach would be to write one or two paragraphs with specific examples on how you meet the required experience. Failing to do so will result in your application being rejected. The resume may constitute a secondary source to validate the experience factors described in the screening questions. Applicants WILL NOT be solicited for incomplete or possible missing information.

Applications will only remain active in the system for 120 days. The system will send you an application expiry warning 14 days before your application expires. It will be your responsibility to update your application to ensure it remains active and is considered for future assessment.

Persons are entitled to participate in the appointment process in the official language of their choice. Applicants are asked to indicate their preferred official language in their application.

Candidates may be required to meet the asset qualifications or the organizational needs, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed.

Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
