1. Planning, organizing and controlling the audit of royalty payers’ determination of royalty due and all other parameters which comprise royalty; developing and managing work plan activities which identify annual goals and long term objectives.
2. Managing and administering the contracts for services used in the conduct of royalty audits and other required evaluations including the preparation of the Task Authorization of call-ups, identifying scope and objectives of work, financial terms and duration for all contracted audits; supervise contractors ensuring that they are within the timeframes and within budget of the audit plan.
3. Providing for audit closure by preparing audit claims through reassessment of royalties from the audit adjustments; and initiating a process of closure with the company audited, including timely resolution of outstanding issues and receipt of audit claim monies; maintaining an audit filing system and database to serve First Nations and IOGC needs; and providing response to ATIP and litigation support requests regarding audits.
4. Communicating audit findings to specific unit team leader (Price, GCA, Volume) as well as the outcome of any revised parameters as required.
5. Communicating audit results by providing timely audit reports, analysis and summaries to First Nations, and IOGC management and; providing technical advice and guidance to staff on audit issues that affect royalty verification and validation control procedures and to follow-up with recommendations to management on royalty policies and operational procedures.
IOGC is located away from Calgary's downtown core at the west end of Anderson Road on Tsuu T'ina First Nation lands.
INFORMATION ABOUT INDIAN OIL & GAS CANADA:
IOGC is an organization committed to managing and regulating oil and gas resources on First Nation reserve lands. It is a special operating agency within Indigenous Services Canada. IOGC is responsible for the administration of oil and gas resources on First Nation reserve lands across Canada, primarily south of the 60th parallel. Most of IOGC's work is in Western Canada in the area of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin.

EDUCATION:
1. Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in accounting, business administration, commerce, finance or some other speciality relevant to the position.
CERTIFICATION:
1. Certification as a professional accountant from a recognized accounting association in Canada. Possession of a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA or CGA)
