This is an anticipatory staffing process designed to create a pool of qualified candidates that will be used to staff AS-06 position(s) of various tenures and linguistic requirements within Public Services and Procurement Canada in Halifax, NS; St. John’s, NL; Moncton, NB; Charlottetown, PEI.
The qualified pool may be used to staff similar positions within Public Services and Procurement Canada as well as other federal departments and agencies.

Essential Qualifications
EDUCATION :
• Degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in real estate, commerce, finance, economics or any other field related to the work to be performed.
OR
• A secondary school diploma and an acceptable combination of experience, education and/or training related to the field of real estate.
Note: Acceptable combination will be based on assessment of the depth and breadth of experience, education, and training. Candidates are responsible for identifying concrete examples of experience, education, and training to illustrate how they meet the educational requirement.
EXPERIENCE:
Recent* and significant** experience in the delivery of real estate/real property services in one of the following areas:
• Conducting and/or managing commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions, disposals, and/or expropriations.
• Real property and/or real estate valuation.
• Planning and managing complex real property and/or real estate studies and/or reviews.
• Real property and/or real estate investment, financial and/or risk analysis.
• Real property and/or real estate strategic, portfolio, or program planning.
• Commercial real estate development.
• Real property project and/or program management
Experience in providing strategic advice, proposing direction and/or making recommendations to clients or senior management***.
Recent* and significant** experience in the supervision of a work unit and/or in the organization and direction of multidisciplinary teams.
Experience in managing financial resources at a large transactional or program basis.
Notes for responding to Experience and Asset Criteria:
• In the context of this competition, “recent*” means the experience has occurred within the last five years. “Significant**” means the experience is associated with having performed a broad range of related activities, normally acquired over a period of at least two consecutive years. Candidates must clearly indicate in the screening questions how they meet the “recent and significant” qualifiers.
• “Senior Management***” is defined as Regional Director level or above for the Public Service. In the case of a non-government applicant, the candidate must describe the level of authority to which they routinely brief or provide advice, and this will be assessed by the Board.

Professional certification for a recognized professional designation in the area of real property:
• Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI)
• Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) Licensed Professional Planner (LPP)
• PMI certification (Project Management Institute)
• Certified Property Manager (CPM)
• Real Property Administrator (RPA) (BOMI Institute)
• Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) (BOMI Institute)
• Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) (IFMA)
• Certified Leasing Officer (CLO)
• Fellow of the Real Estate Institute (FRI)
• Licensed or affiliated real estate agent
EXPERIENCE:
