Intent of the process

This process will be used to staff one (1) indeterminate position in Petawawa, Ontario with a language requirement of English Essential.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions with various security levels, tenures, locations, language requirements and linguistic profiles.

Education
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics. Candidates with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution that is not in the required specialization, may obtain that specialization through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
- Experience with programming languages
- Recent* experience in developing or applying analytical techniques, qualitative/quantitative methodology, or technological solutions.
- Recent* experience in the use of statistical analysis software and data management software.
- Recent* experience with visualization software such as power BI, tableau, and/or other dashboard visualization tools.
- Recent* experience critically assessing data sources, calculations and interpretations

*Recent experience is defined as being within the past 5 years and gained either as a supervisor or employee.

The process will be used to staff the above-mentioned position with a language requirement of English Essential. ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
- Master’s Degree or PhD from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization in Economics, Sociology or Statistics.

- Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in mathematics or data sciences.

Degree equivalency

Operational Requirements
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as required
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally or internationally for training or meetings as required

Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance - This process will be used to staff the above-mentioned position with a secret security level. It may also be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates which could be used to staff identical and /or similar positions with various security levels (Secret, Top Secret, Special access).
