The immediate need is indeterminate. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and used to staff similar permanent and/or temporary vacancies in Edmonton, Alberta.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in a field such as social sciences, law, business or public administration, or Indigenous studies or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience defined as successful completion of 3 or more years of experience in a relevant field supplemented by relevant training or successful course work.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Significant* experience in developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders.
*Significant means for a minimum of 2 years.

Experience leading projects.

Experience analysing complex** situations and making recommendations to management relative to service delivery and/or program delivery.
** Complex issues are issues with at least 2 of the following characteristics: multi-dimensional, multi-jurisdictional, sensitive, confidential, affecting many partners or stakeholders, precedent setting or having a major impact on the public service or having a potential for significant media coverage (such as: the operational impact of a legislative or policy change)

Willingness and ability to travel by various modes of transportation (small and large aircraft, vehicles and/or boats), in various weather conditions, often to remote communities with few amenities.
