This selection process will be used to staff a position which may be at the following locations: Quebec, Gaspe, Cap-aux-Meules or Sept-Iles.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established in order to staff similar positions at Fisheries and Oceans Canada in the Quebec Region at various locations and requiring various linguistic and security profiles.

Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution, with an acceptable specialization such as biology, ecology, aquatic resource management, economics, business, business administration, economics, or regional development, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience analyzing and interpreting natural resources, environmental or scientific data.
Master’s degree of a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in a field to the duties of the position.
Experience in mobilizing and collaborating with Aboriginal client groups or other non-governmental stakeholder organizations such as the fishing industry or other governments.
Experience in fisheries resources management or natural resources.
Experience in processing and analyzing statistical data.
Experience in processing and analyzing geospatial data.
Experience in organizing meetings with different stakeholders.
Valid driver’s licence.
Willingness and ability to travel according to the requirements of the position.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)

Knowledge of the exploitation of marine fisheries resources in Quebec.
