Although the immediate intent of this poster is to fill one (1) position on an indeterminate basis, applicants should be aware that a pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles and various tenures (such as indeterminate, term, acting, secondment, assignment, and/or deployments) within Indigenous Services Canada across Canada.

EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics; OR
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified General Accountant (CGA).
EXPERIENCE
Significant * and recent **experience in providing strategic advice, analysis, briefings, and recommendations to senior management on complex *** financial management issues.
(Senior management is defined as including positions such as: Director General, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Assistant Deputy Minister, or other equivalent senior management positions, etc)
Significant * experience in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders (such as clients, colleagues in other areas of the employers’ department, agency, corporation, other government ministry, crown corporation, or institution).
Significant * experience in variance reporting, forecasting and resource management in a multi-department organization.
Experience in representing organizational interests concerning financial management or resource allocation matters.
Significant* experience managing human resources. ****
*Significant is defined as a minimum of two (2) years of cumulative experience
**Recent is defined as experience acquired in the last three (3) years
*** Complex will be evaluated with regard to amount, complexity and diversity of work handled, the level of autonomy demonstrated, and the impact of the decisions.
**** Human resources refers to activities such as supervising staff, establishing work plans, selecting staff, training and motivating staff, conducting annual performance appraisals, dealing with performance issues etc.

EXPERIENCE
Experience related to transformational management and leading an organization/team through a transition period.
Experience in using SAP
Experience providing financial advice and recommendations relating to grants and/or funding agreements
Various language requirements
