Duties

We are looking for communications and marketing professionals with experience in providing advice to senior management, strategic communications planning, managing major projects, organizing multi-stakeholder events, and writing communications products.

Work environment

The positions to be filled are in Downtown Montréal at Guy-Favreau Complex, within Service Canada, a federal institution part of the Employment and Social Development Canada Department.

Service Canada provides Canadians with a single point of access to a wide range of government services and benefits, including employment insurance benefits, social insurance number, passport services and the Canada Pension Plan.

You will be part of the Communications and Corporate Affairs team, whose role includes ensuring internal and external communications for Service Canada in the Quebec Region.

Intent of the process

The intent of this selection process is to create a pool of qualified candidates for immediate and future needs.

This process is carried out jointly with the Communication and Marketing Advisor (IS-03) external selection process #2019-CSD-EA-QUE-16255.

For all the common qualifications, the same assessment tools will be used. If you apply for more than one position, we will assess the common qualifications only once using a common assessment tool that will be applied to the process mentioned above. A separate pool of candidates will be created for each process.

EDUCATION:

Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution. An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum standard of education, at the manager's discretion.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES:

• Experience in providing advice to senior management.

• Experience in communications strategic planning or major project management.

• Experience in organizing events in a multi-stakeholder environment.

• Experience in writing a variety of communications products such as speaking notes, speeches, briefing documents, backgrounders, fact sheets, questions and answers, news releases, brochures, presentations, etc.
