This is an inventory of potential candidates to fill upcoming employment opportunities at the GL, group and level for Carpenters, Electricians, HVAC/Refrigeration Technicians, Painters, and Plumbers based on anticipated needs within the National Defence.
The inventory will be updated every 180 days. You will receive a notice in your applicant account 14 days before the end of your active period to determine whether or not you wish to keep being considered for an additional 180 days.

The Department of National Defence (DND) is one of the largest federal government employers. DND's role is to provide services and support to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in their operations and missions at home and abroad. This inventory will be used to fill current and future vacancies with various tenures (temporary and permanent) and with various security clearance requirements in the following locations: Cold Lake, Wainwright, Winnipeg, Dundurn, Suffield, Shilo and Edmonton

EDUCATION:
ED01: Possession of a valid applicable Provincial or Interprovincial Journeyperson Certificate in a field related to the position (such as a carpenter OR electrician OR refrigeration technician with halocarbon environmental qualification OR painter OR plumber and gasfitter) OR a military DP-2 equivalent qualification for applicable trades.
Note: Candidates who do not currently possess a valid Provincial or Territorial Trade Certificate of Qualification or the inter-provincial Red Seal will be required to obtain their Red Seal certificate of qualification prior to appointment. Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
