A pool of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to staff similar temporary or permanent within the Canadian Coast Guard College in Sydney, NS.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of a secondary school diploma according to provincial standards or employer-approved alternatives.

Degree equivalency

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Red Seal Cook certification or equivalent qualification as obtained through the Canadian Forces -Cook qualification 6A minimum.
Valid Food Handlers Certificate, Food Safe Level 1.
(Must provide copy of certificate and authorization number along with the job application)

EXPERIENCE:
Recent and significant experience in planning, coordinating, preparing and delivering hot and cold meals in a fine or casual fine dining atmosphere.

**Significant is normally associated to 3 years of continuous experience and Recent is normally associated within the last 5 years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET EDUCATION:
Successful completion of post-secondary school.
Diploma from an accredited culinary school.

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
Experience in the restaurant industry.

Reliability security clearance.
Ability to work shift work. Positions will require working shift work or variable hours. Shifts will include: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm and 10:30 am – 7:00 pm.
