POSITION OVERVIEW
In order to ensure a first-class customer experience, the Assistant Director / Senior Advisor, along with a team of advisors under his or her supervision, is responsible for a portfolio of clients and partners, and for overseeing the development of projects in collaboration with partners in the region.
Main responsibilities:
-Provide guidance for advisors regarding projects and funding applications to ensure their alignment with investment priorities.
-Review and provide quality assurance for project portfolio transactions (analysis, payments, monitoring, etc.).
-Assume responsibility for the engagement and supervision of a team of advisors, including development and performance management, and for adequate work distribution to ensure effective client service.
-Support the director in the management of annual budgets.
-Assume responsibility for maintaining a spirit of innovation and the continuous improvement of practices.
-Represent CED in dealings with regional partners and businesses in order to proactively support the economic development of the region.
-Assist in the preparation of recommendations in the form of quality analysis documents containing numerous elements to be taken into consideration, including the regional and operational reality.
The positions located in Val d'Or and Gaspé are to be filled immediately.
The position in Alma is for a future opportunity.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a specialization in business administration, commerce, economics, finance, accounting, regional development, or an acceptable combination of education, training and position-related experience
EXPERIENCE:
-Experience in investment project analysis in order to make recommendations
-Experience in client service (SMEs and NPOs)
-Experience supervising a team or coordinating the activities of a team
KNOWLEDGE:
-Knowledge of financial analysis methods (calculation and interpretation of ratios)

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
-Masters degree in a relevant field of study
-Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA)
EXPERIENCE:
-Experience in delivering a government financial assistance program dedicated to SMEs and NPOs
KNOWLEDGE:
-Knowledge of the general principles of business law (example: loan guarantees)
-Knowledge of the major trends that influence economic development in Quebec, including the environment, the new business models and the digitization of the economy
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Willing to travel occasionally
-Willing to work overtime occasionally
Reliability Status security clearance
Hold a valid driver’s licence (proof will be requested at a later date)
