A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions in various locations with various tenures such as permanent specified term, acting, assignments/secondments, or deployments. It may also be used to staff identical or similar positions by other regions or federal departments across Canada.

EDUCATION

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS
In alignment with the Aboriginal Peoples Employment Program (APEP) in support of increasing Aboriginal representation in areas having the most impact on program delivery and health outcomes of FNIHB’s target population, selection may be limited to candidates self-identifying as belonging to Aboriginal peoples. Aboriginal candidates must use the Affirmation of Aboriginal Affiliation Form (AAAF).

Please select the department in which your substantive position belonged to prior to the transition to Indigenous Services Canada, which may be either “Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada” or “Health Canada”.
Indeterminate employees at the same group and level or equivalent will be considered for deployment. If no deployment is made, applicants from other groups and levels will be considered in the advertised appointment process.
Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
