The inventory is intended to staff various positions in the Nunavut Regional Office with applicants self-identifying as Inuk under the Nunavut Agreement. Nunavut is an Inuit territory, where societal values are guided by the principles of Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (Inuit Traditional Knowledge). As a PPSC employee, you will have a particular responsibility to respect traditional approaches to justice, including restorative justice programs that incorporate Inuit values and culture, and embody the spirit of Inuit Qaujmajatuqangit. The Nunavut Regional Office embraces a welcoming, culturally sensitive and representative workplace. Inuktitut, as well as English and French, is widely spoken within the office. Inuit culture is celebrated. Impromptu, as well as work-related, gatherings occur to share country food such as bannock, seal, caribou and fish.

2) You will receive an Isolated Post Allowance (Northern Allowance) which ranges from $18,943 - $34,126 annually depending on your circumstances.
3) You will receive a Vacation Travel Assistance (VTA) twice a year. These amounts fluctuate every six months but will support you to travel on vacation outside of the territory.

Education:
CR Positions:
- Successful completion by June 29, 2021 of two years of secondary school (high school) or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
AS or PM Positions:
- Successful completion by June 29, 2021 of a secondary school (high school) diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Competencies:

Asset Qualifications:
- A secondary school diploma.
- Experience working in a cross-cultural environment, particularly in Indigenous communities.
- Experience working in a Northern environment.
- Experience working in a legal environment.
- Experience maintaining a tracking or follow-up system.
- Experience in preparing financial documents.
- Knowledge of Inuit culture.
- Ability to speak Inuktitut.
- Ability to supervise.

Information on employment equity
This inventory may be used to staff various administrative and clerical roles, including the following:
Records Clerk (CR-04): Records Clerks are responsible for the organization and opening of legal files for court proceedings. They are also in charge of the organization of files in the registry room and the closing and archiving of concluded files.
Support Services Coordinator (AS-01): This position handles all financial payments for the office, this includes reconciling office credit cards, invoice payments, vacation travel assistance submissions and all crown housing related matters. This may also include arranging travel for staff or witnesses when needed.
Legal Assistant (CR-05): Legal Assistants provide support to PPSC Prosecutors by organizing and distributing disclosure, requesting documents from the court and organizing prosecution files. Legal Assistants also help prepare files for trial and sentencing, review court dockets to pull files for court and input case status into the PPSC database.
Legal Assistant Supervisor (CR-06): The Legal Assistant Supervisor supervises the Legal Assistants including monitoring attendance, doing performance reviews and mentoring. They also have Legal Assistant tasks of their own and are normally responsible for providing support for more serious or complex criminal files.
Crown Witness Coordinator (PM-03): Crown Witness Coordinators work closely with PPSC Prosecutors. They help victims and witnesses by educating them and keeping them informed about the court process, preparing them to testify in court and assisting with victims through the court process and informing them of their rights under the Canadian Victim Bill of Rights.
Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
