In this exciting role, located at the Asticou Centre in Gatineau, you will be the Assistant Director of Learning Platforms User Experience (UX). In this role, you will help define and modernize the Schools learning technology ecosystem used by 260,000 federal public servants.

You will be providing leadership and work with staff to operate and manage the School’s learning management systems, understand current and emerging user needs and learning technologies, coordinate and mentor staff to pilot programs to develop user journeys and service designs, investigate new learning technologies and functionalities, recommending and implement solutions and services that will most effectively enhance the learning experiences for Public Servants across Canada.

Education

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Educational Technology or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, that is comparable to a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization relevant to the work to be performed.

Degree equivalency

Experience

Significant* experience in the research, design, development, implementation, support and maintenance of information technologies with an emphasis on enterprise-level educational/learning systems.

Experience in the implementation of tools and supports for end users of national, regional or enterprise-level systems (For example : standards, training, tier 1 support, advisory services).

Experience providing advice to senior management (i.e. director and above) related to IT and/or Educational Technologies.

Experience with human centred design, planning and conducting user research, and rapid prototyping and testing using agile work methods.

Experience in managing human resources**

* Significant is defined as having performed the duties for a minimum of 2 years.
