The Finance and Administration Branch provides financial, corporate accommodation, material management and procurement services on a regional and national basis for Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). Anticipatory staffing process. EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree from a recognized university with specialization in one of the following fields: accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics; OR Member of a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA-CA or CPA- CGA or CPA- CMA).
EXPERIENCE:
Recent (Note 1) and significant (Note 2) experience in two (2) or more of the following finance areas:
• Financial Management (Financial planning; budgeting and forecasting; reporting; advisory services)
• Financial Operations
• Financial Systems
• Internal controls
• Cost Management (costing and charging)
• Investment Management; including preparation or review of Cabinet documents;
• Development or revision or interpretation of financial policy instruments;
• Accrual Budgeting.
Note 1: As part of this process, “recent experience” is defined as experience acquired in the last 5 years.
Note 2: As part of this process, “significant” experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience associated with having performed a broad range of various, complex related activities which are acquired over a period of 2 years, at the FI-02 group and level or equivalent level. In other words, we are looking for individuals who have dealt with multiple financial cycles, who have brought projects to fruition, who have established lessons learned, followed up on implementation, and have corrected or enhanced results in a financial management environment.
IMPORTANT:
Candidates MUST clearly answer the screening questions, and clearly demonstrate how they meet each screening criteria (Essential qualifications: Education and experience and asset qualifications) in the following format:
