We are looking for professional administrative assistants who are passionate about making offices run smoothly. Our work environment is fast-paced and high-volume. Your expertise will be called upon to navigate a variety of different processes, for example managing a director’s e-mails, staying on top of deadlines and making travel arrangements.

How will the inventory work?

• By submitting an application, you are applying to an inventory for a variety of current and future vacancies rather than a specific job.
• Your application will be kept in the inventory for 120 days. As positions become available, you may be contacted for further assessment.
• Asset qualifications, top-down and/or random selection may be used to identify which applications will be given further considerations.

How will the assessment process work?

The assessment will consist of the following phases:
• Online application- Text questions
• Online standardized test
• Second language proficiency testing (reading and writing)
• Interview

At this stage, candidates will be placed in a partially qualified pool. Hiring managers may conduct informal interviews or reference checks. Second language proficiency testing for oral interaction will also be tested.

What is the intent of this inventory?

A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established to staff similar positions at Employment and Social Development Canada. The positions may carry various tenures (permanent and temporary), security requirements, conditions of employment and locations.

Although many positions are located at our headquarters in the National Capital Region, positions could potentially be staffed in any of IITB’s Hub Locations: St-John’s, Dartmouth, Charlottetown, Bathurst, Fredericton, Miramichi, Moncton, Saint John, Boucherville, Jonquière, Laval, Montréal, Québec, Shawinigan, Belleville, Chatham, Cornwall, London, Toronto, Mississauga, Windsor, Vaughan, Winnipeg, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver.

• Have experience in providing administrative support in an office environment
• Have experience making travel arrangements
